    ON TOPIC: New in 5.0

This is where I am going to be posting what is added to the site as it is being worked on. First, for a long time, we have wanted to have a light skin and a dark skin. As of today, we do. You can scroll to the bottom of the forums to pick your skin or you can go to forum actions above --> forum settings --> at the very bottom you can select your skin. Having two skins means that when we pick something for one, it may look good in one skin, but not the other. Please bear with me as I isolate those items and make them look good in two skins. I appreciate all feedback.

This is also the bug report thread.

When using the dark skin, when you go to the Members page, the boxes at the top where the letters of the alphabet are arrayed are grayed out/don't show the letters.

Also in Google Chrome (I'm not sure if this happens with other browsers) the dark skin is off set to the left of the screen. It doesn't affect anything else but it just looks a little bit weird.

I believe sizing is still being worked out on a grand scale right now, though certain skins have their own quarks.

I've noticed that some full members appear as junior members, which is probably a function of usergroups?

The top of the main forum page contains the statement "Welcome to the MadCast Gaming."

I've also noticed that the site is improving by the hour, keep up the great work!

When people are being given Full Member, 4.0 requires the additional step of changing their display usergroup. Please point out who it is, and it will be fixed. It is easier to be told which specific account got overlooked than to go through and dig through every member.

Maday is already working on that.

    RE: junior member

The only ones I've noticed so far are Akula and ErMaC.

Tort, my permissions must be wrong, I can not upload myself an avatar.
The option isn't there, no need to rush just when you have time. Thank you in advance.

    Good morning Eternia!

Um, there must be something wrong on your end or it might have glitched out on you because everyone can as of right now use avatars. I have not gotten around to taking them away from non-full members.....

    perhaps try again?

    Note:

150 by 150 pixels or 19.5 KB is the size limit, I can always increase it.

Can someone else check to see if they can upload an avatar?

I can upload an avatar, but I think 19.5KB is pretty small. Think you can bump it up to around 50KB?

Per your post in the other thread, it has now been increased to 80KB. Happy avatar loading.

You are in a different usergroup, the SFM one, and in yours, it was disabled for some reason. I fixed it.

Is it possible to apply the double-click to mark as read to threads within a forum subgroup, rather than just the whole subgroup? I think this would also fix my comment in the other thread about marking stuff as read.

If so, it'd be much appreciated.

I don't know if that is possible, but I will look into it.

I think I'm doing it right, and I'm using the same pic I used previously, but I can't get my sig to work. If I am doing it wrong I apologize. It shows up in the spot where your pic is supposed to show when choosing a sig, but it does not show in the preview window or in my posts. In the preview window, after telling it to use my pic, it just says [sigpic][/sigpic].

There is a small icon that shows you whether you have read every post in a specific thread

    compare

    with

Once you go into a thread, the little icon disappears because it assumes you scroll down, so you don't actually have to click anything for it to alert you whether you have or have not read a thread.

Looks like we need antispam on the forums. I'm not certain what are good vBulletin plugins for this sort of thing; when we had this problem on the TL forums, I made a custom mod to take care of it, but that was phpBB and not vBulletin.
