had to order this from my library, they will have it at my local branch tomorrow and I will be going to pick it up. I am also picking up atlas shrugged based on Orgazmo and like 20 other people I know telling me it was a good book. Is it weird that I think we should have our own Oprah's book club? We can call it "Sotark's Book Club" lol

Is anyone legitimately interested in starting a MC book club? I try to read at least 1-2 books every month and this would probably help keep me doing that.

Should probably credit Tort on this - he had a book club thread going for quite some time. =)

Be a little prepared in the beginning for it to be confusing and slow...Also set in a much older time, so there is references that seem a little off (I. E. A grown man playing marbles on the floor), but I guess it was some prestigious things to own a lot of nice marbles...

    *shrugs*

Also, yeah I'd be interested in a book club!

Hey, I'm not one to take credit from anyone. I'd just be interested in getting it kick started again if we have enough interested parties.

yeah same here, I am not worried about credit or who gets credit, I was just looking for an outlet for any good book deiscussions that can be had.

I started a madcast book club once: no one joined. Glad to see it picking back up. I am currently reading "Cien Anos de Soledad" or "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and yes, I am reading it in the original Spanish because that is how I roll.

I read A LOT, and years of reading law books every day has really honed my reading comp (part of the reason I recently changed languages—just to step up my game), so I think part of the reason my book club failed was that I read the books much faster than anyone else was willing to...
