    BF3 New 3D surround Setup

I have just picked up my 3rd monitor of the 2233RZ. After making it a Surround-setup in Nvidia control panel I now have an awesome sized desktop.
But... I used to play everything on Ultra settings and I was getting around 100-120 FPS. Now, with three monitors, I only get 60 FPS with all settings on medium and no AA. I mean... I knew there would be a framerate drop, but come on man! This is ridiculous.
    - Just another reason to get a couple of the new GTX680 with 4 gigs of ram.

I can't even use 3D vision in BF3 any more since it reduces 60 FPS to 30..
And going from 120 FPS to 30 FPS is one hell of a difference

I too have 3 monitors and figured out that I actually prefer to play on one for many reasons, including this one.

I have found out that if I disable MSAA settings and HBOA or whatever it's called, and set shadows+mesh to low, I can run all other settings on Ultra and still get 50-90 FPS depending on the sorroundings, but mostly 60. It's not bad, but I'd prefer if I could just put at least x4 MSAA to even out all of those pesky edges. unfortunately I can't as that will kill my framerate completely
There's also this weird stretching going on on the side monitors, but I've read that it's to be expected and that there's no fix for it. I don't look at the side monitors that often so I don't really notice it.
Othere than that, I LOVE 3D surround - It's awesome.

I struggle around 36 fps... On medium/low (mostly low). Time for a new card I think... I have surround sound, can't imagine what the surround 3d would be like.

Well I would estimate that with your 36 FPS in surround, when you add 3D into the equation you would get 18 FPS simply because 3D requires double the framerate to keep the original framerate, if you know what I mean.
As you might (not) know I run dual GTX 580's and yet I still need more power! I just can't wait for a GTX 680 with 4 gigs of ram and a waterblock to be released. The waiting is unbearable.

I'm fine with 2 monitors. Prerequisite for any streaming setup.

It's still awesome, you just have to get used to half the FPS which is 60 avg. in my case. I will recommend it, you will get SO addicted to it - well I am anyway, I can't live without it now

I was rockin two monitors when I was at home. I never had two video cards to put out 3 monitors. I think 3D mode isn't really necessary and for me would take away from the experience.

So apparantly, going from 1 monitor to 3 is not such a good thing for your performance, and just when I was about to get good at surround gaming I find my self selling my hardware to make room for something new. And of course it turns out to be 1½ month too early... That's just my life in a nutshell *sigh*
At this rate some of the graphs will hit 0 in a couple of weeks :/

I've got 2 monitors but I've never set up my GTX 560 to run both at the same time. Is it something I should look into doing?

That wouldn' take long. Just plug the other monitor in the card and you're all set. There's only need to go into Nvidia Control Panel if you want to change which monitor is 1 and 2

I should clarify, I've never gamed with both being used to display the game. I usually play on one monitor and keep TS and/or Netflix on the other one.

You need three monitors for a game to be displayed on all monitors. Two monitors are not enough. It's either 1 or 3 monitors. You will see the same thing if go red team
