*Titan can sit, or meditate, for hours, so feel free to reply to this stopping by that evening or in the following morning*

As Legoless walked down the well-trodden road he rubbed again at his eyes and tried to shake off the lingering lethargy. Despite collapsing in his cot exhausted last night, he hadn't slept well and his mind still felt greatly unsettled by what he had witnessed. Titian had spoken of taking Redrick to the small charity organization to recover from the traumatic experience, and Legoless wanted to meet with the deacon and perhaps gain some more explanation as to what occurred to help ease his own mind.

As more and more traffic converged on the main highway, Legoless held his cloak closer to his body to conceal his rather heavy coin purse from any would-be theft. He was pretty certain that Visage would also keep it safe, but caution was always the wiser choice. The streets that lead up towards Mado Curas were rather busy in the morning, as local farmers and craftsmen brought their wares in towards the marketplace. There were also a few run-down wagons that brought in groups of laborers to work on the repairs around the city, with even more that followed behind on foot. They lived about half-mile away in a tent city of their own, and had to be taxied in and out every day. Seeing his destination ahead, Legoless broke off from the crowd right outside of the gates and turned down a short side path leading to the humble building of the Ko'Mai'Nu.

In the yard before the building a kind-looking woman was supervising a small crew of people who were serving a simple morning porridge with meager slices of bread to the laborers that stopped on their way in to the city. He composed his face into a nonchalant but polite expression as he approached her, crossing his left arm to his right shoulder as he bowed his head in greeting. "Sorry to bother you when you're hard at work madame, but my name is Legoless Erenaur and I have come here in search of my companion, a wise tortle named Titian. Could you advise me to the best course of action I may take to find him, if he be here?"

The woman smiled kindly and greeted Legoless with her hands pressed together in front of her chest, extending it to her. "Namaste, Miss Erenaur. Daikyoshi Titian is on the other side of the meeting area. If you step through the adherents, you will see him." She bowed again, and went back to her work. Through the crowd the form of Titian could be seen, in unmoving meditation. When Legoless approached, he opened his eyes and smiled. He looked tired in those eyes, but his smile was warm and he spoke clearly. "Legoless. It is a good morning on which I see you. What can the Ko'Mai'Nu do for you?"

Returning the kind smile, Legoless bowed his head slightly as to respectfully lessen the difference in height between himself and the still-seated monk. Despite his outward confidence, he carried much anxiety in how others perceived him and worked hard to hide his nobility rather than lord it over others. "May the sun continue to shine upon you, my wise friend. I haven't come to call upon the whole of the Ko'Mai'Nu, but I would like to enquire to the condition of the deacon we were able to escort back with us last evening. Hopefully he did not cause a disruption last night while recovering from his ordeal, but I know that if anyone were to successfully guide Redrick back to mental stability it would be you."

At this the elf gives a cursory glance over the tortle, checking for any remaining wounds or ailments, before continuing, "You are healing from your own wounds, I trust? I would be happy to offer my assistance in any way I can, as my skills have improved thanks to some guidance from Kato." Legoless holds his slightly pudgy palms upwards, inadvertently showing old blisters healing into calluses that were not there a month ago. "I was also perhaps hoping to join you in some meditation to settle my own mind, but that can wait until no others can use my aid."

[@Don Scuoglio]

Elio talks to Silas alone as the camp is being set the first night of travel back to the city, “Tension’s get high after a battle, I don’t apologize for making my intentions known to you, I don’t appreciate your sense of humor. You fought well, I hope we learn from this and learn to trust each other in the future. I sense a grim future ahead of us. A future that will need to be faced with stalwart companions if we are to overcome it.” He realizes that he's been rambling awkwardly for awhile and leaves space for Silas to respond.

[@MadCast: The Prince]

On the first night after the fight in the cave when everyone is settled Elio says to Raz, “You mentioned you’ve seen that symbol before. Sounds like you have a story to share with us, friend.”

Titian bows his head in turn, and considered the elf. He seemed troubled. "If you seek companionship while you Sit, I certainly can provide such." Titian shifted slightly in his seat and produced a skin of water to drink. "The deacon is resting. I saw to his accommodations last night. He is welcome here for as long as he needs, as many others are. He did not have any issue with quieting and considering his place in the world, as should we all." He shifted himself again, into a full lotus position one would think impossible for a tortle. "I appreciate your concern, Legoless, but you worries are unnecessary. These old bones have seen to themselves for decades now, and I have the assistance of many should I require it. Perhaps when next we are in the wild, I will come to need your newest talents." The tortle's eyes finally settle on the elf, warm and soft. "I should hope it would not come to pass, but I know my place in a battle line. Forever will I be scratched and scraped, stabbed and slashed. It is one of my purposes."

He took up a formal position with his palms together in front of his chest and looked at Legoless as if he expected him to join him shortly. "Let us finish this conversation first, and then let us Sit until your heart and mind is unburdened. Soto-dath will guide you as she guides us all in the search for peace."

@Tamorex

Raz: Well, I'd say less of a story and more of a few... situations. There were these zombie things that stitched one into Moon's face and there was this town... uh... Bardhallow. If you've seen some of the refugees we've had enter the city lately, well, they've come from that town. The Deacon actually had that symbol stitched into his chest. I don't know if it's some kind of necromatic thing or whatever, but I'm glad it wasn't stitched into me. I remember hearing something about a... Cinder King? But that ain't no name I've ever heard of. Anyhow, that's all I know about the symbol. Might be worth talking to one of these religious types of someone that loves zombies. Or, you could always talk to Moon herself. I think she's worked to keep the scar.

Moons once normal, beautiful visage has a scar etched across her cheek, given to her by a ravenous stitched up, monstrous raven person? it is indeed the mark you speak of, its quite awesome. Moon doesnt know much about them but knows the mark will lead her where she needs to go to purify and slay all monsters and evil ne'er-do-wells. Praise saint cuthbert and his mighty cudgel, he opens the path!

Legoless' mouth twists more than slightly in guilt at the reminder that some of his friends so easily accept the adventurer's fate of constant physical injury and loss of life. He looks down at his own hands before putting them down once more and nodding a bit while his thoughts drift to a certain loxodon. "Certainly, friend. I eagerly await the day that I am able to protect those who trust me to do so, but until then I remain grateful in having reliable companions like you at my flank. I have to wonder, though, if... if you ever regret the choices you may have made that led you into this lifestyle? Volunteering to throw myself into the line of constant violence and discomfort, especially when things seem so much beyond my understanding, is something I am finding difficult to accept." Shaking his head and trying to brush off a train of gruesome thought, the corpulent elf takes a deep breath and slowly sits down to awkwardly shuffle his legs into an imitation of Titan's lotus position. He gives a genuine smile and patiently waits for the tortle to speak some elegant wisdom or gently guide him into proper meditation.

"How I came to this lifestyle, what path?" He twisted his mouth up in a thoughtful pose as he stared through Legoless for a moment, transported to someplace hundreds of miles and tens of years from here. "10,000 years ago, the world was created. This plane of existence, in the parlance of the educated. But there are others like it, as well. Many planes, many worlds. The Gods created this work, but many cared not for the work. The planes of elements lie in chaos. Others are mere playthings for powers that cannot or should not be understood. But this world was made for us. The Elf, The Tortle, The Human, The Dwarf, on and on and on. Yet this massive world for all of us sentient being is among the least balanced, Young Elf." Titian leans forward and takes up a discarded stick, drawing a complex design into it- his order's view of the dance of planes in the multiverse. "At the center of this delicate balance, in my tradition, we are told the material plane rests upon the Karmic Mirror." Titian stops for a moment, and glances up at the Elf, before a small smile erupts from his lips. "I suppose one should mention Karma, before we get to the next part."

"Karma is the... energy of action. If you had a board balanced on the edge of a wall, this would give the board energy- for the board could be caused to fall if it became unbalanced. Energy is there. If you placed a stone upon the board, depending on where the stone is, the board can be caused to tip and fall, yes? This is the result of that action, of that energy- this is Karma. Karma can be both good and bad. Good actions accumulate good results. The being who is compassionate, who protects, who defends, who is honest and true- they accumulate good energy and good action and together this pushes one towards a good life- just as inexorably as the stone would cause the board to fall." Titian frowns slightly and looks away towards where they had last been, toward's the town of the Deacon. "Bad karma, naturally, follows along this same line." He seems to tear up for a moment, lost in reflection, before he continues. He steadies his breathing after a moment. "Sometimes the greatest villain begins the path with but a small injustice, so small as to be thought of as nothing more than the selfishness of children. But from this injustice arise others, and by the time it becomes obvious to all, even the villain, the Karmic burden is near impossible to counteract. At least in this life."

Titian falls silent for another long moment. He stares without seeing down the road, to the south. The silence draws out to uncomfortably long before he blinks again. "There I am, lost in the past. My greatest weakness. Forgive me Legoless." He furrows his brow a moment. "Pardon an old tortle, but where was I again?"

Rodrigo writes swiftly. He knows he'll need to get his press up and running as quickly as possible to help the situation. He knows he isn't much of a writer so he'll need an editor and at least one or two writers.

How about the actual press?

"Damn," he said aloud, "I'll need someone to help me with that too."

I would have had time to set this up proper, but now I'll need to get it up and running quick and getting stories out there about Interlopers Inc., to swing public support in our favor.

Rodrigo finishes the ad for the positions for his printing press and nail's them around Interlopers' Inc. Headquarters and around Mado Curas itself.

Wanted: Editor for New Mado Curas Broadsheet Press (I'd like it to be a PC but I can do it if needed)

Wanted: 2 Writers for New Mado Curas Broadsheet Press (PC preferred but I can hire NPCs)

Wanted: Printer for the Press New Mado Curas Broadsheet Press (NPC but hired help from @MadCast: JigglesTheFett would be appreciated)

Hubert IV of House Starfall languishes against the marble archway of the central window in the Osmund Family Library, fingers trailing through artfully tousled locks as one arm casually drapes over his head, and the other cradles a fragile old tome. Anyone walking through the courtyard outside will be certain to see his striking silhouette and beautiful face, marred only by the exertion of study. Sheets of parchment lay scattered over the windowseat next to him- empty, sadly.

Hubert turns another page, sending a faint cloud of dust, and something that smells like burnt chicken feathers wafting from the book. Another day, another disappointment. He has been through nearly every book in the Osmund library, yet a spell for a suitable bed eludes him.

It is just then that he catches sight of the strange figure bumbling across the flagstones towards the library entrance. Could it be- new books?

[Hubert could be persuaded, but FYI he will style everything he writes to be about himself, and what a fabulous fashionista he is, his clever wit and intellect, the ravishingly romantic figure he cuts, and of course the legendary bravery and heroics he exhibits at every turn.]

Left hand resting on his heavy book bag, Elio looks around the courtyard. The striking figure of Hubert in the library window draws his attention, and he raises his hand gracefully in greeting. Seeing no one else to introduce himself to he walks towards the entrance nearest Hubert. Hopefully this endeavor pays dividends, one can never tell before hand if two scholars will get along. This is doubly true for wizards.

    Still... one can hope.

"My name is Elio Sondale, I am recently arrived in the city. I heard from our mutual companions at Interlopers Inc. that a scholar of great talent resides here, are you he?"
