Current forum awards don't cover this (bumping threads and assisting with tech questions) so I think this is beneficial. It's fine to post here or in the nomination thread regarding ideas for new awards. I like the idea of adding awards for people who create popular posts, but have a lot of questions on how the criteria should be determined. Are we going to apply this retroactively? What about the types of threads that don't really contribute anything, but are frequently visited just because it's a way to interact? Threads like the "what music are you playing" and the Yo Mamma jokes aren't, in my opinion, on equal footing with things like the Helping Hands thread or any of the lengthy gaming guides. As far as people who regularly post, I am of the opinion that being able to meet FM Terms is enough of a reward for being consistent posters. Also, the people who are regularly active on the forums are highly likely to be making so many posts because they are involved in a lot of events or guide writing or other things that already frequently earn awards. All of our members deserve to weigh in on this though, so I think it would be prudent to mention at Town Hall and see how that discussion goes. I don't see why not but for bandwidth What about the types of threads that don't really contribute anything, but are frequently visited just because it's a way to interact? The way I was thinking of this was that getting people to the forums and posting is a good thing, shitposts are still content and may spark greater interaction. But then my way of thinking was that getting people in here and interacting is the goal, as long as they stick to the right section and dont shitpost in On-Topic for instance. Also, the people who are regularly active on the forums are highly likely to be making so many posts because they are involved in a lot of events or guide writing or other things that already frequently earn awards. Absolutely and as you say, the guides and so on have their own awards so this would be for forum activity. But does forum activity include guides? I figure you could have an award for writing guides that draw people here as well as an award for forum activity that takes in to account Guides and everything else?
