By now I've talked to most if not all of the DMs that ran multiple sessions during Living D&D and I got a chance to participate in a session of.  I'm putting together a little gift for each of these wonderful DMs and I'd like to keep track of everything in this thread.  I'll be updating with pictures as I finish my little project.  With that said I suppose I should let you in on the project.  I'm making or DMs a home made Dice Tray!  Each one will be different and totally unique as well as come with a set of 7 Dice that they all have already chosen through PMs in Discord.  I'm having a ton of fun working in my wood workshop and really wanted a way to thank these individuals for introducing everyone to an amazingly fun game so I figured I'd put my amateurish skills to work making some gifts in the spirit of D&D.  Like I said, I'll be updating this with pictures as I finish things and once all of them are finished I'll go through the process of letting the DMs choose which one they would like.  Thank you again everyone for making Living D&D an amazing experience and that is not limited to only the DMs.  I'm talking about all the people that participated in these sessions and maybe found a new passion!  For clarification there are 7 DMs that had run repeated sessions to whom I'm making Dice Trays for (provided they are interested).

Wow. Home Improvement is the show with Tim Allen that Bob Vila only guest starred on. Bob Vila's first show, 'This old house' ran from 1979 to 1989.

such a pretty box is that a velvet bottom, looks super nice well done :D

Indeed.  I purchased some velvet lining sticky paper for my first tray I made and have a ton left over so I'm planning on using it to line all of the trays I'm making for everyone.

This guy was humble as hell about his skills when he approached me with this generosity and he throws down a pic like that.

You are much too kind good sir, but I thank you for the kind words.  (Yes you are old there Munsa.  So am I for knowing exactly who that is and watching some of his shows?  >.<)

I am probably going to have another box done early next week if I don't find time to finish it this weekend.  Its unique as I was feeling creative and made it out of fat popsicle sticks!  It looks pretty nice so far.

I'm probably going to make a few more of the simple ones with different stains.  I'm always looking for a reason to get more wonderful stains so if you'd like to see a specific one let me know.  The stains I already have on hand are advertised in the following link.

So quick addition to one of the dice trays.  I added some vintage looking brass feet to the smaller Honey stained Dice Tray to add a little to it just for fun.  They look really good too!  ^_^

Absolutely!  That and this way I can claim all my mistakes are just happy little accidents of which there are a lot of.  lol.  😃  I really am enjoying making these a lot.  Me and my friend already have our next project planned out for next year too.  We are going to make a canoe and I can only see it going 1 of 2 ways.  Either it will resemble a boat and float or it turns into a big pile of fire wood.  >.<

Greetings everyone!  Today marks the completion of my last dice tray for our wonderful Living D&D DMs!  The last tray I made has a bit more eyeball work in it as I ran into some difficulties when working with the odd angles and such but it was a ton of fun to build.

Stain - Black Cherry

Wood - Pine

Base - Black Satin Lining

Dimensions - 16" x 13"x 1 1/2"

With the completion of the 6 dice trays I set out to make, I will be setting up a time in Discord where we can all get together and figure out who will be getting which one as well as shipping details.  I'm sorry for such a long delay getting you guys these trays.  I will also be sending a special gift along with each of the trays that will remain a surprise until everyone receives their dice tray.  I want to thank each and every one of our DMs that participated in running sessions during MadCast's Living D&D games as well as those of you who have expressed interest in becoming DMs after the event.  Lets not forget about all the wonderful players new and old, to D&D that played as well.  You guys are awesome!

Assuming that the next Town Hall will be on the 5th of October, I'd like to have each of the recipients of the dice trays join me in a channel after Town Hall so I can get the required information to send them out and figure out who is going to be getting what one.  If you are unable to make Town Hall or unable to stick around until the end of Town Hall please let me know and we will figure out something.  In true D&D fashion I figured we would roll initiative to see what order people get to choose what one they would like.

Updated the original post to reflect which Dice Trays people have chosen.  At this point I will need to get a hold of @MadCast: Munsa , @MadCast: VoShay , and @MadCast: Khaos to get their choices.  As they were unable to make it to Town Hall for one reason or another I will give priority choice to whoever contacts me with their choice.  If its something that has been chosen already I will let you know and have you choose another one.  Thank you again everyone for all the work you put into Living D&D and the continued work you put into the community.
