MadCast: Angelix
2 hours ago, MadCast: Epic said: Agreed. Rife and I were playing today and found that also turning Sacrifice off offered a more enjoyable and dynamic experience with each map; which also put more emphasis on mobility and teamwork. Sacrifice massively slows down the game and, once you are past the first or second level, essentially becomes god-mode. At that point the interesting part of the game is done, as there is no further challenge. I find it useful for unlocking abilities or skins, but have come to feel that it really detracts from the game if your intent is to overcome the true challenge of this unique game, which is the clock. MadCast: Munsa
Update: Munsa is moved and then got sick, but I am on the mend and looking to get an event organized once I get few things off my plate. If anyone else wants to start the ground work of affirming a date/time and concept, I will take care of administrivia should it come together. MadCast: Angelix
I'll think of something to propose Munsa, but I won't post anything about it until tomorrow. Need some time to mull it over.
 Awards
MadCast: Munsa
I just opted in to the Total War: Elysium Closed Beta and immediately received access. https://store.steampowered.com/app/844370/Total_War_ELYSIUM/ It borrows heavily on the visual language and card/unit interactions of Hearthstone, but adds in a front line/back line mechanic and a few other straight forward mechanics like a phase-of-day system to create a tidy little deckbuilder. Worth the 15-20 minutes it takes to get through 4 tutorial games.
 Awards
MadCast: Angelix
Looks interesting, but I'm not immediately drawn into its design. I think Monster Train and Slay the Spire really nailed that aspect of the solo game, and Hearthstone and MTG also have designs that are fairly appealing. Then again, I'm also not a big fan of non-fantasy or non-sci-fi games in general, so that might be part of it.
 Awards
MadCast: Munsa
Sorry about the lack of movement on an organized event. I've gone through three successive schedule changes in as many weeks as my work is having a COVID outbreak and we try and reorg. I think starting next week I should finally have the ability to schedule something accurately.
 Awards
