An opportunity to bring Christmas to those who otherwise would never have one. If you haven't reviewed the history of the MadCast Angel tradition, please check out the links below: 2019 2018 2017 2016 2015 2014 2013 2010 Over the years we've managed to step up and evolve this tradition into something bigger and better, year after year. This year is a big ask. Really big. We have an elderly pair of grandparents in their 60's that took in their five grandkids as their parents are no longer in the picture. The 7 of them live in a small family apartment and among their list of requests are basic essentials such as personal hygiene toiletries. Now, I have already personally committed to providing a supply of necessities regardless of the outcome of MadCast Angel. What I'd really like to do is bring Christmas to this family. They have some big ticket item ideas to improve QOL such as kids tablets for school, bicycles, air mattresses complete with new bedding, and more. 2020 has been a a dim, dreary, and dastardly year for many of us. We understand that not everyone can afford to contribute a monetary value. You can still support the cause by spreading the word so as many people know about this as possible. Due to the late details, I have already begun shopping for a few items I know I'd like to purchase. I will continue to purchase items as donations come in to get them in under the Christmas deadline. The cut off date will be December 18th. Thankfully I can hand deliver these items and do not need to rely on shipping. If this is your first year participating in the drive you will receive a MadCast Angel badge upon completion. This thread will be updated regularly to reflect the contributions received. Proof of donations values will be provided to staff. Proof of purchase will be provided to everyone. Kids in these situations have precious little in life and have suffered greatly. This is a chance to make a meaningful, real, tangible difference in a kid's life.
