  1. Riot's teaser for their new champion, Lillia - The Bashful Bloom: SkinSpotlights did an ability reveal:
  2. I'm glad that they are finally buckling down to try and address this, even if they don't have concrete solutions at the moment. The toxic community of League of Legends has always been a barrier to entry, and a consistent source of frustration for long-time players.
  3. love me some Todrick
  4. a little surprising, but I've been gifted a lot of stuff
  5. Before pride month is over I wanted to say thanks for helping echo the voice of the LGBT+ community! As a gay man myself, it's nice to see some representation.
  6. That was fun. I haven't had the chance to play many jackbox party games so it was an enjoyable learning experience. I'll definitely be at the next one -- thanks for hosting. 😀
  7. I found some old league of legends inhouse vods! I'm still looking for some of the seasonal event ones, though they may have been deleted due to age. These are courtesy of pacov's twitch channel (and there are several more that I haven't looked at): > https://www.twitch.tv/pacovdumptruck/video/49445310 > https://www.twitch.tv/pacovdumptruck/video/49445109 > https://www.twitch.tv/pacovdumptruck/video/49445498 These are from the MadCastGaming twitch channel: > MadCast Legends preseason DOMINION being cast by Munsa and either LT or Maday (?)- https://www.twitch.tv/madcastgaming/video/50721416 > MadCast Legends ARAM on The Proving Grounds being cast by Prince and Maday - https://www.twitch.tv/madcastgaming/video/50615727 This one is from SabreWolf: > Admins vs. Members - https://www.twitch.tv/sabrewolfgamming/video/44788876 WarmTurtle gives us recordings of a MadCast Halloween Tournament: > Part 1 - https://www.twitch.tv/warmturtle/video/49478612 > Part 2 - https://www.twitch.tv/warmturtle/video/49478469 > Part 3 - https://www.twitch.tv/warmturtle/video/49478165 Cinchil's twitch channel has recordings from a MadCast Summer Scramble league event: > https://www.twitch.tv/cinchil/video/50066673 > https://www.twitch.tv/cinchil/video/50066625 > https://www.twitch.tv/cinchil/video/50066658
  8. I like this one! It also linked me to leagueofgraphs.com which has in-depth stats of specific champions, including item builds and win rate percentages.
  9. *Updated OP with u.gg link, and Ladder Up Gaming's "Team Roles Guide." I think it's important to have a general understanding of each of the five roles in the game, even if you only play some of them. Having an underlying understanding of your teammates goals and functions means you can help them better. I enjoy Ladder Up Gaming's video because it gives a good overview of lane purpose and the kinds of champions you'll find in respective roles. I would however recommend not thinking too hard about the sub-labels given (I.E bruiser, assassin, mage, etc.) as they are typically self-explanatory via. champion, and it's important to not feel pigeon-holed into playing only certain champions in a role.
  10. If you're returning to league after a long hiatus like me, or are new and simply curious, you may be baffled at the amount of information available in the game. There are: five different roles, 148 playable champions, 43740 different rune page combinations, in-game mechanics such as wave control/trading/pressure/vision, pre-game mechanics such as team-composition/counter-picking/banning, and to top it off a generally unfriendly and toxic in-game community (solo-queue, I'm looking at you.) I've begun doing some research to not only refresh my own understanding of the game, but become a better and more knowledgeable player overall. You may find some of the videos, guides, or links I dig up useful in either helping to begin an understanding of the fundamentals of league of legends, or in solidifying an existing sense of the game. Links: * u.gg (standard champion rune/item builds, win rates in different ranks, match-ups, summoner information) * porofessor.gg (featured matches with builds, stats, and individual playstyles) * leagueofgraphs.com (in-depth stats of specific champions, item builds and win rate percentages) Videos: 1). Proguides' "A Complete Beginner's Guide to League of Legends" gives a fantastic general overview of the objectives of the game: 2.) The YouTuber 'Snow Fox' briefly explains the newer rune system to those unfamiliar (a.k.a new players or those of us who had to BUY all of our runes): 3.) Ladder Up Gaming's "Team Roles Guide" gives good information about specific roles, their typically expected champions, and functions within the team:
